What is Die Casting?

Die Casting, similar to plastic injection molding, produces parts by injecting non-ferrous alloys such as zinc or aluminum into a mold. It is a commonly used manufacturing process for the fabrication of geometrically complex metal parts which are widely used in various commercial, industrial and laboratory applications.

A furnace, a reusable mold and metal alloy raw material are required in the die casting process. The metal alloy raw material is melted by a heater, then injected with high pressure into the mold where it cools and solidifies into the completed part.
